Our GPS

Before we left the states, we purchased a GPS and an Australia map. Let me tell you that driving in Australia is like driving in 1950 back roads in WV. Or at least that is what our GPS wants us to experience! We’ve hit backroads and small towns, miles and miles of dirt roads and just a plain, fun time. The only problem is that there are no scenic pull-outs but lots of great countryside to enjoy. I was able to get some photos but barely representative of all we have seen in the Hinterlands.

Heading to the rainforest was a bit scary with switchbacks, narrow roads, sheer cliffs, and the occasional tour bus which took up most of the road. We made the 16 miles in just under an hour and we were thrilled to be at our destination!
