Samuel Clements (Mark Twain) called this the Grand Canyon of the Pacific and that stuck.  It is beautiful!

Napali Coast

Yesterday we headed out on a catamaran to see the Napali Coast of Kaua'i.  This area is not accessible by car.  We headed out around 2:00 and arrived home around 8:00 so we spent lots of time on the water.  Thank goodness for the sunscreen...it worked!!  Enjoy the photos of the coast.

Chickens all over the island...in the parking lot of the restaurant, on the grounds at the hotel, walking on the side of the road...they live where they want!

Leaving Oahu and heading to Kaua'i.  Oahu was fun but it was a bustling city.  We're heading to Kaua'i for a few days and hope crowds and traffic lessen.

Middle of the Night or Early Evening

It's almost 1:00am (Wednesday) in Terra Alta but it's only 7:00pm (Tuesday) here in Hawaii.  Kip and I both feel a bit like zombies and are trying to stay awake a bit longer.  That may not happen.  The Mai Tai has not helped much!  Each time you get a Mai Tai, they serve it with a flower!  I'm saving mine and maybe I'll make a lei with all of them!
