This one's for Kendra

Hi Kendra! I am so pleased you will follow me on my travels to Australia so I am putting this picture in especially for you. Isn't he a cute guy! Make sure you check back soon for new pictures. I hope to see seahorses, playapus, Tasmanian Devils, wombats and more wallabies. This picture is NOT a kangaroo. It is a wallaby. I think you and your mom need to find out the difference between a kangaroo and a wallaby!

  1. Kendra was so excited to see this post! She says, Thanks Mrs. Boone! We researched together that the most obvious difference is the size. The Kangaroo can get up to 8ft tall and the Wallaby usually only can grow up to 2ft tall. Even though they are both marsupials, they still have differences. Another way you can tell them apart is the color of their fur. If you were a CSI expert, you may look at their teeth. A Wallaby has a straight line of teeth in the back of its mouth and a Kangaroo has a curved row of back teeth. We will be avid followers of this adventure!
